Ancient Sightings (Pre-20th Century)
Biblical References and Ancient Texts: Throughout history, various texts, including religious scriptures like the Bible, have documented UFO sightings. A notable instance is Ezekiel’s vision of a "wheel within a wheel," which modern UFO theorists often interpret as a potential depiction of an alien spacecraft.
Medieval and Renaissance Accounts: Many records from medieval and Renaissance Europe describe sightings of strange objects in the sky. These occurrences were typically interpreted through the religious and superstitious beliefs of the time. It is important to note that how these “craft” or “beings” are described is often a reflection of the time those people live in.
1800’s
1830s-1890s: During this era, reports of mysterious airships began to surface in the United States and elsewhere. Witnesses often described large, dirigible-like crafts moving through the sky, marking the beginnings of the modern UFO phenomenon.
These objects are rarely yet described as “saucers”, something many researchers believe could be the intentions of NHI, or simply how we perceive them based on the limits of our technological imaginations of the time.
